12/13/2015 - I met my husband at our college library studying for finals week. ❤️
05/07/2017 - We graduated college together. My degree is in Psychology, which I think is a great example to show you don’t need a formal background/training to do this kind of work.
05/20/2017 - I was given my first DSLR camera, a Cannon 80D, and with that began to take it with me everywhere. At this time I was working as a Psych Tech and Special Education teacher full time.
12/6/2017 - I have my first picture to reach 1,000 likes. It might seem like a funny milestone, but at that time on my life it felt so cool to see a vision in my head turn into a reality and have others like it too.
04/03/2018 - Alex proposed to me in Positano, Italy. It was such a magical day. ❤️
07/01/2018 - A little after a year of having a “professional” camera, I got my first paid post. I’ll let you go back on my feed to see that. This was a huge milestone for me. At the time I was still working full time as a Special Education Teacher (and LOVING it), but I was hustling to always go out with Alex and try to take pictures after work. That was the first moment when I saw this as an opportunity to make a living.
09/08/2018 - After 5 months of somewhat intense planning, we had the perfect wedding in a cabin in Heber, UT. It was a small wedding with only 25 people total and something we will always cherish. Fun fact, we walked down the isle to Runaway by Kanye West (Alex’s only request for the wedding).
05/2019 - After about 2 years of failing, learning, and hustling, I quit my job as a teacher and started to create content full time. This was a HUGE decision and at the time felt like a risk, but a decision I would make over and over again.
Present - Alex and I live in SLC, UT looking to set up permanent roots as we are looking for a house! I have continued to work with brands such as Nike, Hyundai, LG, ModCloth, 7ForAllMankind, etc. and love my job. My website is meant to provide you with resources (presets and educational content) so that you can fast track your creative journey and make a living off of creating the life you want to live!
